The historic house that welcomes Estrella de Belém dates back to the 19th century and rests at the very heart of San Andrés Cholula.
At the entrance, guests are greeted by a hand-carved cantera stone doorway, legend has it, the work of master craftsman José Guadalupe Díaz, crowned by three monolithic shields of the Three Wise Kings. Framed by floral arches, they symbolize, for the people of Cholula, the gateway to paradise.
In 2006, we opened our doors with deep respect for its original architecture, ancient stone walls, cobblestone courtyards, two fountains, a library, and six intimate chambers named after great master painters. Every corner tells a story of restoration, devotion, and Talavera artistry.
